Where are you trying to write the file? We haven't had the problem you've described, either using '<@webroot>', etc. or entering the whole path like '/Library/WebServer/Documents/'. The bigger problem is usually permissions, but it doesn't sound like that.
I'll be in the office most of the day tomorrow, so I'll try and get in touch then. How have you been making out with FMP connections?
