not more than 3-5 simultaneous visitors, so multiple hits against single-threaded FMP isn't a problem

Roland: FMP and W*5 running on the same machine? Who, what, when and why are users hitting the site and the database? Number of hits/hour/day/week? FMP6 as client to another server?
This reply to Roland Dumas's email:
Before: G3 768MB RAM Webstar 4.5 FMP5
After Xserve 1.5G RAM Webstar V FMP6
some improvement due to hardware, some to OS, and some to witango. Can't figure it out, but happy camper.

got my first FMP-based site moved from OS9/T2K to OSX/witango. Database hits are about 10X faster.
