I'd have to go with O'Reilly on this one (I generally rely on O'Reilly for
all programming texts). However, there are some great websites out there
that have good stuff.

Check out:

There are some really good notes regarding compatibility between browsers,
DHTML, DOM, etc.

If you are the daring type, you can read the full ECMAScript specification
(at this point, most javascript implementations are attempting to be
ECMAScript compliant) direct from ECMA at:

www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/stnindex.htm (just scroll
down to the ECMAScript section)

Subject: Witango-Talk: [OT} JavaScript Book Recommendation

I've always mostly winged it on JavaScript using the code from free sites
making sense of it and adding it to my sites.

I am ready to get a better understanding and wanted to know what books
people have found MOST useful. What is the most worn out book on the
bookshelf.

Thanks

Dan
