Most search engines do now, particularly the big ones (ie Google etc), however there are server-side programmes (like Welcome [Mac-Webstar]) which actually change the resulting URL to a static link. However, it is questionable whether they are really necessary now. There are some great programmes out there for Linux and Windows which do the same thing (unlike Welcome, on those platforms you can find free ones as well).
If you are interested email me and I'll post the details of where to find these programmes for each different platform.
cheers

I wasn't aware that search engines don't follow anchors that include search arguments.
I use swish-e (http://swish-e.org) to index my sites and provide site-wide search. It will follow all links to whatever depth you choose. I'm surprised that commercial spiders aren't doing the same.
Dear All,
Probably been asked before, but I can't find the answer anywhere. We're trying to build a search engine friendly content management system with WiTango. Has anyone made path arguments work with WiTango?
i.e. www.site.com/page.taf/234/ instead of www.site.com/page.taf?page=234
Thanks, Dale.
