I thought I would post this info as an FYI - I have been doing some research on PocketPC IE 2002 latest version and have discovered a few things.
The version of PocketPC IE is based on IE 3.0 and only supports Java Script 1.0. In laymens terms this is a very old version of IE and Java Script and means we are very limited in what we can do with it. I have written a simple app playing around with trapping keys and submitting forms. Take a look at http://www.sosamon.com/handheld. This page has a simple form that will submit an html page. It also displays information about IE and the display. It also has a link to Microsofts pocket pc page. The Action key on the Intermec seems to do the same as the enter key which will submit a form. I have not been able to get the ESC key to do anything such as CANCEL. I have a Javascript that will capture the keys and you can then assign them to buttons, but of course this uses newer Java commands and does not work on the handheld. These limitations are not specific to the Intermec device, but for Pocket PC in general. Something else I just thought about is that the intermec does have a touch screen, and I think if I make the buttons big enough on an html page, the buttons on the screen could be pressed with your finger.
