Yes, sorry, not standard server but small business server. My problem isn't with the number of licenses since I only had a 10 user license using T3 on this same server with the same sites and there were only a couple of occasions in 3 or so years experienced "license exceeded" errors with these sites. In fact the usage has dropped on this server and so that is the reason for my question - and on Saturdays as well, which is usually not a high traffic day.

That is why I am thinking that someone may have had experience with robots or spiders opening multiple accesses to the site at one time, or maybe I am missing something in regards to the operation of with the new Witango 5 server. I have the variableTimeout set to 8 minutes which seems to be a good setting for the apps I have on this server. I track user logins and there don't seem to be many re-logins by users due to the variables being dropped too prematurely.

Garth,
You should contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] to confirm this but your customer
record shows that you upgraded to a Small Business Edition on Win and OSX
from T3 Small Business Editions. These are limited to 10 active user
references and will produce this message when the number of user references
in the variable store are exceeded.

BTW Jamileh did you ever figure this one out?

I have recently installed Wi5 on Win 2k and am very happy with the
 performance.
BUT... I have a standard server and have been getting "Licence
 Exceeded" messages, particularly on Saturdays.

Now, I don't use pop-ups in my tafs at all so I am not creating extra
 user sessions that way.

However, I think that maybe the search engines do a lot more indexing
of the site on the weekends when traffic is lower, and this may be
 causing some of them.

Any further experience with this problem which you can shed the light on?

I certainly didn't experience any license exceeded problems when
running T3 with a standard server.

I have reduced the variableTimeout from 30 minutes to 10 and use
UserReferenceArgument in all of my links in all of my tafs.

 cheers
 Garth

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions, and especially to Ben for
 his assistance off-list.

If I ever figure this out, I'll let y'all know.

Thanks!
