I just got the error "Server Application Error The server has reached the maximum recovery limit for the application during the processing of your request. Please contact the server administrator for assistance."
My server was working fine until a few minutes ago. I checked my T4Events.log, Tango.log, and IIS logs - nothing of abnormal size, and I'm not showing any oddball entries. The T4events.log hasn't even been updated recently; the last entry was a normal restart. I didn't get to finish checking the logs before my admin rebooted the box, so there may be some entries elsewhere that show the problem. It doesn't look like this is caused by oversize logs, despite list discussions. I think Robert Shubert nailed it on Friday evening - when I mentioned an RPC vulnerability to my network admin, he patched for it. We're in the middle of a virus storm and getting slammed all over by this puppy. This is our intranet server, which is behind a firewall and only accessible to our network. (Someone on our network opened an email attachment...) Here's the CERT for it: http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2003-16.html I haven't seen any recent alerts on this, but y'all might want to think about patching for it, if you haven't already. Sure seems to be going around! ________________________________________________________________________ TO UNSUBSCRIBE: Go to http://www.witango.com/maillist.taf
