If I understand correctly

Your Application Server has the following:

Windows 2000 Server
Wintango 5.5
Dual CPUs
One Gig of RAM

What kind of disks do you have? Be specific.


Initially, I would add at least One more Gig of RAM.

If you set up some valid tests I think you will see a 
performance boost with a 2 Gig of RAM machine over a 1 Gig of 
RAM machine.

You may find that a 4 Gig of RAM machine will be even better.

Valid testing will give you the answer.
