Is the net stop command polite, like the stop button in the services control panel?

There is c:>net stop <Service Name>

Subject: Witango-Talk: Killing the server process

On WinNT, is there a more forcefull way of killing the Witango Server than clicking on Stop in the services control panel. I've got a problem

with the server that causes it to hang on me occasionally, and I have to

stop and start the service, but because the service is in a kind of a deadlocked state it takes forever for the process to be killed and then started up again...

I'm looking for the equivilant of a "kill -9" on winNT i guess...
