Title: Re: Witango-Talk: upgrade issues.
There is an encoding setup in IIS that sometimes needs to be set to use the taf and tml and tcf files so they run through the web server.

Select the site then properties. Then the home or Virtual directory tab. Click on configuration.

Make sure it is using the proper .dll for tcf, taf, tml files.

Maybe it is still set for your TK@ and your not running that but witango so it is not processing the files.

Hey Brad!

Do more complex actions output JUST the html, or the taf as xml?

What are you serving off of? IIS? Apache?

Kinda sounds like the webserver isn't mapping mapping the taf file as a file that should be interpreted by your webserver instead of just ouputted (I know that's an awful sentence, but its Sunday at 7pm ; >). I'm not a 100%, but I believe when I was working with Scott and we were using IIS we had to set the .taf files up somehow in IIS. If he's on later, he'll confirm or deny.

Good luck mate!

Dan,

To clarify on #2, I  have a very simple .taf file with a resultset action with some simple  html.  When I call that taf through my browser, http://localhost/test.taf, the html is  appearing in code form, ie. <B> TEST </B> not TEST.  I am testing with 5.0.1.62  on XP PRO.

This upgrade is  becoming a real nightmare, it seems nothing is functioning right..  Is  XP the issue?

Brad

I  thought the cookies issue was fixed in the last server version.

Not  sure what you mean by number 2 can you expand a little.

If you are using  Witango 5 version ending with .062, then there
is a known issue with  persistent cookies not working. The only
fix is to either use an earlier  version of Witango 5 or upgrade to
the next maintenance version when it  comes out, hopefully  soon.
