**** advertisement **** Many of you post questions about Tango
2000 and are still running it in production. You should strongly consider
upgrading at this time. Beyond the simple facts, such as that Tango 2000 Server
is now a 4 year old code base that contains known flaws and Witango 5.5 Server is
a considerably more capable and stable server, there are now financial
considerations. This information can be found on the
homepage of www.witango.com: DEV STUDIOS: All Witango 5.0 Studios (or upgrades thereto) purchased
on or after 1 October 2003 will be
eligible for a free upgrade to Witango 5.5 Standard Studio when released in
December this year. Studio pricing will NOT change in Australian dollar terms, HOWEVER, will change in both US and EURO pricing to
reflect the current exchange rates. Upgrade pricing will be adjusted to reflect
the release of the new product, and, as of the release of Witango 5.5 Studios,
T2K upgrades will only be available directly from Witango Technologies. SERVER: All Witango 5.0 Servers (or upgrades/stepups thereto) purchased
on or after 1 November 2003 will
be eligible for a free upgrade to Witango 5.5 Server or the corresponding
edition and platform when released in Q1 2004. Pricing of the new servers has
not been finalized at this time. Current server pricing has not changed. As of It’s important to note that the
reseller network will no longer be able to offer Tango 2000 upgrades, which is
done at a discounted price. The Tango 2000 upgrade options available after
December 2003 will be more expensive. Your local resellers work hard to provide
a presence on the internet, at shows, at the conference, and on this list. While
we all enjoy that work, selling the product is an important aspect of it as
well. An upgrade now gets you many things: A free upgrade to the
next version (5.5) of either the Dev Studio or Server The old exchange rates
(for US and EURO purchasers) Reseller discounting on
products, WE does not discount when selling direct. Please visit your local reseller, or email
