Keep in mind that your hosting provider has something to say about your usage of stored procedures, as they are a server-side construct. :)
In my experiments, there have been only small reasons to use stored procedures, and usually when you are dealing with busy servers or high traffic. I'm talking like amazon.com level traffic. If you want to break SQL logic from your general application code, as a Witango developer, the TCF is the easier way to go.
