From the docs,

Only HTTP-type URLs

The cron function doesn’t support the https layer.

I wonder if you call a taf under the HTTP protocol that calls an @URL to an https. This might work

Subject: cron & HTTPS

I'm having a problem getting a nightly job to run on our new secure server.  The CRON function appears to execute, but the taf specified does not start.

The server is a Windows 2000 Server (IIS), and it's running the WiTango 5 Server.  All other mail functions work well on this server.  The URL specified in the CRONTAB file specifies HTTPS on the URL.  The log file says HTTP, not HTTPS when the CRON process starts at the desired time, then nothing happens.

I thought there maybe a server configuration setting that needs to be made, but I'm not sure.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
