If it's a 'Lite' license key, it won't open any TCF's (that's not supported in Lite). But in 5.09 - did you just upgrade to Panther by any chance? If so, you may need to change ownership on the application - it's handled differently by the OS in Panther than it was in Jaguar (surprise surprise). I can give you a hand if that's the case.
