Alex,
Witango 5.0 was built on the 2.4 kernel. Try disabling the Native Posix Thread Library (NPTL). NPTL has replaced the Linux Thread Library in the post 2.4 kernels but you can load the old thread library by setting the following environment variable in the startup script/init.d script.

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1

I am pretty sure that SuSE 8 back ported NPTL and it is standard in SuSE 9. The Witango Server 5.5 will be built on a 2.6 kernel and will use the NPTL.

Hello --
- I have just purchased WiTango Standard AppServer for Linux
- I have unable to run it on my Linux box

- I have tried first with Apache 1.0.36.x on a SuSE Enterprise 8.x box,
but I obtain segmentation fault
- On this SuSE Ent 8.x box probably there are some glibc issues (glibc
are old version)

- Then I have tried *but* on another SuSE 9.0 Professional box, where
glibc are sure valid (see below)
- On this box I have Apache 2.0.47-63
- Apache runs fine on htm files, no problems here
- Troubles coming when I try to load a dumb test.taf application file
(created with WiTango 5.5 DevStudio)
