Another thought would be to use you browser for transfers. I develop for a lot of printers (most are computer dumb), and we have set up ftp sites for them and a majority are now using their browsers to tranfer files. It really is simple. In fact, in IE it acts just like another window on your desktop once you are connected.
Just a thought :-)

I have been extremely satisfied with RBrowser. There's a paid and a lite (free) version. It uses two windows (local server and remote server) and it saves your connections automatically. It even remembers where you were in the local server last time you used it.
Check out Version Tracker and search on FTP for a comprehensive list, reviews from folks, etc. I use this religiously when I am looking for software. PS, you Windows guys, Version Tracker does Windows, too.

A few other people picked transmit also. I'll take a look I like the way I can see the local files and remote. I didn't see a way to store the FTP sites so I didn't have to enter them again.
I already paid for ftpeel but at $20 for one and $30 if I have to grab the treansmit it is not a big loss.
I end up doing 90% of my FTP stuff on windows so I'll work with the demo of transmit for awhile.

I am a long time fetch user but the program has not been updated in years and mine recently stopped working right.
Apple had this one on their site.
Its $19
Faster then fetch and easier to use. Really does run in the background rather slowing to a crawl whenever you switch to another application
