depending on the permissions for the file you may or may not need to use "sudo", I am showing it with sudo just in case. The -R -P actually (the Unix guys can correct me here) is probably only needed for folders, but it won't hurt, either...)

sudo -R -P 775 <path to file>

then provide your admin password when requested

to get path to file, just write the text out to the space after the 775 and then drag the image of the file over the terminal window (ANYWHERE) and it will pop it right into the right place, with the absolutely correct path name. Simple.

I have noticed that ANY time I open these files with BBEdit (even if I don't actually do anything but examine the code) that I need to repeat this.
