I think I took
this some time back & scored about the same thing. I was wondering
if it was a timed test, which could affect the scores (I only get interrupted
a half-dozen times on any given task). I guess I could try again tonight
from home & see how it compares, it would be much speedier the 2nd time
around. I know I remembered the general solution (although not the
specific answer) to several problems from the last time.
I took standard IQ
tests when I was a kid. They're MUCH more extensive (several
hours). And I agree with Mike that they don't really mean much except
for a general level of a few specific skills. There's actually a good book
on that subject that explains how IQ tests were developed and how they've been
misused and misinterpreted: The Mismeasure of Man by Stephen
Jay Gould.
I dunno about the
descriptions - they strike me as the sort of generic descriptions that apply
to most anyone, much like astrology horoscopes and
such.
But it was a nice break for a bit, being that I
remembered how to do most of the difficult ones.
