The suggestions provided below didn't help, but YMMV-

No. It sounds like you have a permission issue where the Dev Studio (actually the user that launched it) does not have permissions to read a file, library or resource. This may have been part of the 10.3.5 update process but we have several machines running in our lab that have been updated to 10.3.5 without issue so I think that this is more a coincidence.
How can we trace down the problem?
Looking in our support and debug databases, there are no incidents as you have described your issue. The problem sounds more like a unix file permission problem or a corrupt preference file.
Try using this command in the terminal (You will need to be logged in as an Admin user):
sudo open /Applications/Witango/Dev\ Studio\ 5.5/Witango\ Dev\ Studio\ 5.5
If the Dev Studio launches then you have a permission issue that you will need to resolve. Use the Disk Utility to verify your permissions.
Try setting the permissions on the /Applications/Witango/Dev Studio 5.5 and /Applications/Witango/Dev Studio 5.0 directories so that "everyone" can rwx on the directory and files.
Also try removing the Witango5.5 and Witango directory from the preferences directory in your users Library directory. Make sure that you have your license key handy as the next time you launch the Dev Studio it will ask for it.

Hey Roland,
No, I was never able to find a resolution to this issue...nobody spoke up. The only solution I was able to find was to use 5.5, which I wasn't too happy about.
Of course, I didn't have a ton of time to look, and I have virtually no OS X experience (mostly just Windows/Linux).
Good luck in finding a solution to your problems, and I'd be most interested if you do, so please post to list.
Cheers, Jonah
