Just to be crystal clear. This is NOT a dig or criticism of the JS code in
the 1st place in any way. It works just fine on all browsers because it
contains another method for handling the issue for Safari.

The client changed the spec after the code was written so it has to work the
SAME on all browsers or at least look the same.

That is now being handled and this is no longer urgent in anyway as I have
found someone with expertise in handling the way safari needs be handled to
deal with these issues.
