Yup. Only you need a full URL as if you are using a cron entry and you
have to (I believe it's mandatory) have the USR argument. Thus:

<@ASSIGN user$variabletimeouttrigger
"http://www.site.com/path/logout_user.taf?<@USERREFERENCEARGUMENT>">
