Witango-Talk: Domain variable purging - 5.5

Late in the day so this might be a stupid question.   I was sloppy setting up a couple of domains and now I’m combining them into one using the domain.ini.  Because of the persistence of domain variables, how do I make sure there are no orphan variables out there that will never get purged?  They come back after a restart, correct?
