Title: Re: Witango-Talk: OSX studio installation on Tiger
This was a fresh install and I just moved my regular files over to the new computer. I changed jobs so I had to rebuild everything. I went back through and deleted the receipt, prefs I could fine, and reinstalled. It still comes up with a single file, no ability to show package contents. This is what confuses me.
I assume by your response that you have successfully loaded Witango 5.5.08 on Tiger. I'll try it on my computer at home and see what happens.

If you've previously run on this machine, you may need to go and kill all the previous prefs, receipts, etc. and then install.

Please tell me its my fault but I have been trying to get Witango DevStudio 5.5.08 (dated 4/2004) to install on a fresh build of 10.4.2. It installs but it creates an "application" that defaults to Script Editor, in other words, not a complete application. I installed as the main admin user as well as another user with admin privileges. I fixed permissions and did everything I normally do. The Witango AppServer installed fine and runs with the lite license.
This isn't the first time I've used Witango but the first time I've tried to install it on Tiger. I haven't seen many emails about installing on this version but I need to test this installation along with FMPro 7 Advanced Server to see what
problems we're going to run into when changing from AppleEvent access to JDBC. Thanks.
