I wouldn't use the JAS anymore... It's been kind of "abandoned."  I don't believe it's included in the installation anymore.

Witango did a good job fixing issues with the Java Bean handler.  You should modify your code or write a wrapper class to run as a bean and use it that way.  You would have to write a wrapper class anyway when using JAS, so this isn't any more work, and you've got something that you can use other places when you're done.  JAS was a very proprietary thing.
