I thought this might be of interest. For those of you who don't know what http://slashdot.org is (is that possible?), this website is all about the geekiest stuff on the planet like supporting Open Source Software, Linux, Microsoft-bashing and just about anything Scientific.
Although Tango and Witango are just mentioned in the comments, that's still pretty cool. The goal is to be linked from a lead story on Slashdot as the big prize of course (and subsequent slashdotting). The lead story is "Tango Project to Make Open Source Beautiful?" Which is misleading to us, but all about some collaborate effort to unifying application styles for OSS and Linux - or some such waste of time. (see this link for the whole thread) http://it.slashdot.org/it/05/10/11/2341210.shtml?tid=185&tid=218 Here are more direct links on the Tango and Witango comments. http://it.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=165016&cid=13770491 http://it.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=165016&cid=13771148 http://it.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=165016&cid=13771786 Some of the articles linked from Slashdot range from very cool, to out-right profound, to utter B*** S*** I read Slashdot because I can't help but be entertained and astounded by how mis-informed, predictable, whiny and gullible the posters are. So many people read Slashdot that whether good or bad, it's gotta be interesting to get mentioned there. ~ Scott Cadillac ~ 403-254-5002 ~ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ Custom Software for Business http://custom.softwarefor.net ~ The XML-Extranet Partnership ~ P.O.
