You probably have this answered by now, but here's my 2 cents...
Servers: I used T3 up to 8.6 with good stability, but I don't think I
used T3 on any OS 9 installations so I can't tell you about that. T2
definitely works fine on OS9.x
Dev Studio: I actually have a 8.6 machine running my version of T2k
which I still do my development in because I haven't been able to
(read: haven't been bothered to spend the time; haven't needed to)
successfully get my OSX machine to run my WiTango 5 dev and server.
Don't know if that helps at all but there you go.
