I also have the same phenomenon.

I am using the <@USERREFERENCEARGUMENT> and sometimes users have to login twice to initialize their session.

Can't use cookies because too many people & spyware blockers block them.

I have seen spyware blockers get in the way of this.

Have them check there spyware blocker and add your site to the accepted list

Subject: Witango-Talk: Losing USERREFERENCE

A shopper on one of my sites keeps losing his USERREFERENCE thus losing his user variables. I don’t include <@USERREFERENCE> or <@USERREFERENCEARGUMENT> in my any of my code.

He is using MS IE 6.0 on a Windows XP machine and I had him change his privacy setting to “Accept All Cookies” and “Always Allow Session Cookies” and added the domain name to “Managed Web Sites”.

Still losing his vars.

Any ideas what is causing this or how to debug it?

Thanks
