We've been having some problems with our Witango/Filemaker searches. In Filemaker Pro 5.5, when performing a search on a school name field, searching for "Rainbow P.S." will return schools with the names "Rainbow P.S." and "Rainbow S.S". The only way around this in Filemaker is to add double quotes around the query text to ensure the correct school is returned.
Because this is an inherent "feature" of Filemaker our Witango searches return the same results. For my school name criteria I'm passing my search an argument <@arg schoolName>, but throwing quotes around that does nothing. Is there some way to escape the quotes so Witango will pass them as literal text along with my <@arg>?
