If you have a FMP database that also acts as an interface you will want to create another database to use for ODBC and Witango. Witango will see every Table Occurrence in the TOG as another table and you don’t need all that.
You can make a new file with one table in it and one field in the table and one record
Then add the other tables from your live database to it as references
Then all you need to do is create and not equal relationship between you single table and the referenced tables that is a indexed field of the same field type. I just use the primary keys and make sure it will never be equal.
Then you will be able to just see your base tables and search on them as you would in any SQL database.
Be aware that Filemaker has a few reserved words in addition to all the SQL ones Type being one of them.
Also because it uses Unicode all searches are case sensitive and you can’t turn that off.
