There shouldn't be any problem. However, I wouldn't recommend windows 2003 software RAID 5. It is very slow. For a cheap RAID 5 on windows, that works well, I would try promise, I used for some time. I have found the best performance to come from 3ware SATA RAID 5, they are true hardware RAID, and they scream. If you must do RAID 5 on soft, I have found Fedora Core 4 with mdadm to be VERY speedy, and takes much less resources than windows does. RAID 5 soft on windows, seems to slow every thing down. Our production system is a RAID 5 3ware system on Fedora Core 4, that witango hits via SMB, witango on 2003.

Our test system, the file server is Fedora Core 4 mdadm software raid 5. It runs faster than an older system I had, that used Promise SX4000 raid in windows 2003.

Hi:

Does anyone know if WiTango (Standard edition) will work on a RAID 5 configuration (with Window 2003) at all?

Thanks!
