That definitely should work. And having the same name shouldn't make
a difference. Just be sure that when you call it, use the scope,
certainly.
How are you making the assignment?
<@assign name="request$this" value="<@var method$this[*,*]>">
appears to be the safest way to do an array re-assignment.
Alternatively while still in the TCF, when you CREATE the array,
don't even bother creating it in method scope, just create it in
request scope.
