OK - I'm sure that I'm about the hear a bunch of replies that will
tell me to look at what I just searched for in the Progarmmers Guide.
Note to self: RTFeM (that's for 'electronic Manual'). So I'll count
myself lucky that it's been working as it has been, and will now try
to do things the more proper way with the @BIND tag.
(sheepish grin here)

Hi all-
I have a stored procedure (in SQL Server 2005) that I'm calling
with a direct DBMS action (exec spName @param1=N'<@arg param1>',
@param2=N'<@arg param2>'
The stored procedure takes care of generating a param within itself
to find a new UID for the record being inserted (@recordUid INT
OUTPUT). What I'm hoping I can do is get that new UID back as an
output value, possibly in the resultset of the DirectDBMS (or
however else it could work)
Anyone doing something like this and have a pointer for me? I've
only recently begun making heavy use of SP's (man, what a speed
improvement!) and just don't know too much about it and Witango.
Thanks,
Jason
