You may not have permission to connect to the database server. The
username has to have permission to connect from your host. That's a
database permission thing.
When you set it up and set root password, you need to make sure
that root, or another username has access from your hostname. I
forgot whether it sets up root to connect from % or just localhost
when you first set it up.
