I understand that may not be VALID, but I do that all the time, with
no issues, and heck, I believe even the witango search builders, and
other code generators I have used will put & in HREFs.
Unless I need a good slap in the head, and I may, I think that is
pretty common practice.
I just went to several well known sites, including apple.com, and see
them all over the place in hrefs. At least I am in good company! :-)
