I'm not sure if this applies to many Witango users but I thought I would pass it along. I received it from the FileMaker Solutions Alliance:

*****
All the current shipping FileMaker products HAVE NOT been certified for
Windows Vista and there are known issues. These FileMaker products
include...

• FileMaker Pro 8.5
• FileMaker Pro 8.5 Advanced
• FileMaker Server 8.0
• FileMaker Server Advanced 8.0
• FileMaker Mobile 8

Our initial testing on Windows Vista indicate that you will be able to use
existing databases but you will not be able to build or edit databases.

FileMaker Server 8.0 and FileMaker Server Advanced 8.0 will not install or
run under Windows Vista.

WINDOWS OFFICE 2007:

FileMaker Pro 8.5 and FileMaker Pro Advanced 8.5 can import and/or export Microsoft Excel files created in Microsoft Excel 95 all the way up through Microsoft Excel 2003. Microsoft Excel 2007 uses a new XML based file format
which renders it incompatible with current FileMaker products.

Before importing a Microsoft Excel file into FileMaker Pro 8.5, you will
first need to save the file in Microsoft Excel 2007 in a Microsoft Excel
2003 format (.xls file).

MORE INFORMATION:

Please see FileMaker Knowledge Base articles 6217 and 6218 for more
information about issues with FileMaker products and Microsoft Vista and
Microsoft Office 2007.

We are working with Microsoft to resolve these known issues. It is possible
Microsoft will address these issues with Microsoft Vista updates.

Hope this helps,

Steve Smith
