I had many issues with parallels networking, and used bridged, and
have now always used bridged, without issue.

Hi all-
I wrote a couple weeks ago about a weird phenomenon with file
corruption and I had it happen again today. I've finally figured
out the issue, and the answer is quite a surprise.
There was nothing wrong with the files, even after the WIndows
crash within Parallels on my MacBook Pro. The problem appeared only
in the files once I transferred them via FTP. So I updated my copy
of WS-FTP and reinstalled. No luck. Then I had a hunch. I was
working in Starbucks yesterday, making use of the WiFi hotspot. In
order to have both the Mac and Windows apps online at the same time
you need to use Shared Networking so that Windows traffic comes and
goes as if it were from the host OS. If you use Bridged Networking
(the default) it appears as two machines getting online, so you
would have to pay twice, or it just doesn't work. So I was still
set to Shared Networking. I shut down Parallels and switched the VM
back to Bridged Networking and uploaded the file again. No problems
at all.
When I did compare the files by downloading a problem file from the
server I was finding a lower case letter b appended on the last
line of the file outside the </TAF> tag. But I never would have
seen it looking at the files on my machine prior to uploading as it
was only during the process of uploading that the file was being
corrupted.
Hopefully this won't happen with the next version of Parallels - I
haven't tried the beta yet.
Cheers all, and happy holidays
Jason
