I have been printing barcodes from Witango apps for years, using open
source scripts. One is a javascript that runs on the WT server and
creates a <table> that is a code 39 barcode, using black and white
one pixel gifs. Another generates jpg or png graphics of barcodes.
Both are free.
I just saw this thread so am not familiar with the earlier discussion
and potential solution. Let me know if you want details on the
above. We've used both in emails and on web pages for over 6 years
now. The jpg solution is more stable for cross-browser printing I
might add, but requires a WT initiated batch file to run on the
server to generate the image. The table solution is quick and easy.

Brian,
I made it work, although I can't figure out how to get rid of the
box. I will fiddle tomorrow. This is just great. Thank you so much.

Mark,
I have been doing this for 3-4 years in Witango.
39 code on the fly no problem.
Here is an example of an IMG tag that I use that will do this.
Just place this IMG tag on your page and you are good to go.
<IMG SRC="http://www.barcodesinc.com/generator/image.php?
code=MOWER-21332-332&style=421&type=C39&width=203&height=77&xres=1&fo
nt=3">
You can specify Width,Barcode Type and style, height,Font and size
and some other things.
The 'MOWER-21332-332' in the tag is just some text from a
transaction. You can put anything in there that you want.
The rest of the tag parms just set up the Barcode rendering image
result.
Give it a whirl! It is free.
Hope this helps.

You can specify the Barcode Type and style,Width,Height,Font and
something called Xres

Hi all!
I have asked this before.
I am currently putting bar codes on the top of paperwork, by
batching bar code symbols in advance, copying them onto the
server and then referencing them using a numbering system.
I would love to have a way to make bar code symbols. Code 39 on
the fly and never have to do this again.
Windows 2003 server.
Would anyone here have an idea? I asked this before, but was on a
mac server at the time. Perhaps there are more options on windows.
Thanks
