But, YouTube uses the flash video server along with Adobe Premier web edition. Both those softwares are about $7000.00 each.
Getting the user to take a screen cap and upload it, then resize it will be the best option. I haven't used image magic, but I'll see how hard it is to configure and use with WiTango. Youtube for example, takes a frame from the middle of a clip, which means you have to pad the video in order to get the desired frame. That's a pain. Any producer can easily grab a single frame from their video. Then you can use ImageMagick to resize it as needed.
