Mark,
you might want to look at the jquery plugins or one of the other
similar technologies.
here is one I found with a quick look
Server Side Grid
The grid is a Ajax-enabled JavaScript control that provides solution
for representing tabular data on the web. Since the grid is client-
side solution and loading data dynamically through Ajax callbacks, it
can be integrated with any server side technology.
Features:
-Full control with JavaScript API
-Data returned from the server is XML
-Simple configuration
-Ability to load big datasets (paging)
-Resizable columns
-Server-side sorting
-Support of links, images, checkboxes
-You can add more than one grid on a single page (master-detail)
-Paging
all this stuff is at
http://jquery.com/
Also there might be some option with the Adobe Spry data aPI you
might even post to there forum. If they don't do it already they may
be willing to add it.
I have had good luck with passing Witango arrays to this kind of code.

I have been asked to create a page for a client, a simple page,
where the top of the page includes a header image and column
headings and the bottom of the page includes the rows a columns of

information and the header titles remain in place. Just like in
Excel when you set the row and column controls so that they don't
change while you work with the rest of the page.
I tried this with Frames but when I resize the browser, it also
resized the top frame, which I don't want. I have used the
noresize="noresize" tag, but no joy. I have set up the frames in
absolute terms, not percentages, and not "*" .
So I am stumped. I expect this is a very trivial and easy thing,
but I am not getting it.
If there is a way to do this in CSS and somehow overflow controls
come into play, I will slug through that.
Any help would be appreciated.
