OK, everything failed until I found this expensive openlink driver.
AFter I installed the 'trial' version, the other drivers started
working again.

with any java or JDBC function, because java does not run
through rosetta. Also, you can't use the intel mysql drivers,
cuz it is powerpc app, and I believe those drivers are NOT
universal, so they won't work with powerpc app. You also can't
use the universal actual technologies drivers, because witango
studio will just crash with them, although everything else,
powerpc or intel, like excel, will work with the actual tech
drivers. You have to load the old powerpc mysql drivers on the
intel machine to work with the old witango studio. Or you can
download the mysql source, and try compiling universal drivers.
