Daniel,
This is what I do for all of our file storage on our intranet. Our
file storage directory is elsewhere on the server and I use Witango
to perform a 'file_read' action and then in turn serve out the file
with a custom header. It does depend somewhat on the size of the file
though - if it's multi-megabyte files being served all the time it
will cause performance issues. However, we do use it to store a
number of 10-20MB files that are accessed less frequently without issue.
I hope that helps - feel free to contact me if you have more
questions though.
Jason

I have movies in a directory outside the Web-Root.
How can Witango load this mowies for playing.
I don't like to use as file storage "http.//webroot/dir/file"...
I like only to use the fixed path like "C:\\dir\mowie.avi"
otherwise everybody can read the path...
Any suggestions ?
regards
Daniel
