The newer servers break many/most COM objects. The only solution is
to get the author of the com object to update it to work with
witango, good luck, or find another solution to do the same thing,
like an executable. Or don't upgrade. Unfortunately, I don't think
there is ANY workaround except to write your own executable wrapper
around the com object that can be run itself from witango. I have
done this before, its not pretty, but it works.

Hi all,
I upgraded my Witango App server to 5.5.020 from the original 5.5
(003?) release.
My PDF417 barcode generator COM object no longer functions. Once
it's instantiated it just terminates the thread.
I checked my handlers.ini file, which is:
[COM]
ShortName=COM / DCOM Objects
SupportsScanning=0
LoadHandler=1
ServerPath=C:\\Program Files\\WitangoServer\\5.5\\wshcm501.dll
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
