I'm trying to update a mailing application to support Sender Policy
Framework (SPF), which primarily examines the Return-Path header
field to confirm that the sender is authorized to use sending MTA.
Using the witango mail action, I have tried to insert a custom header
line, but Witango always over-rides the Return-Path, replacing my
Return-Path with the From field. If I try to put the From in the
custom header, email action produces a bad envelope with two FROM
fields.
It looks like I need to use the <@EMAILSESSION> tag if I use witango,
so here are a couple of questions.
1. Has anyone experienced any 'gotchas'?
2. Does this tag allow use of the submission port (587)?
3. Is TLS supported?
4. Are there any open source TCFs available?
My messages and recipients are already queued in a database, sent out
by witango cron; but I could use perl or php as an alternative.
TIA
