<@PURGE> triggers the variableTimeoutTrigger. Your "logout" function just needs to do <@PURGE SCOPE=User> - this causes the scope to expire in the same way as a variableTimeout.
Keep in mind you'll never see the result of variableTimeoutTrigger. The URL is requested and the resulting document is discarded.
