I think we ran into the same (root) issue...
Also, beware server (and client) updates. The last SECURITY update
killed Witango server because apparently it updated Apache... So be
prepared on restart after a security or OS update -- you might have to
re-do the httpd.conf directory AND re-run lipo. We certainly had to...
