Hi Dan

Yes I could just call the file name from the table and use the value in an
"include file" tag.

The only problem would be making sure the file names and data values sstay
current. It seems like a much easier solution.

RE VISTA: Once you install VISTA ULTIMATE

>From VISTA help and support you search for Program compatibility Wizard.

This opens a dialogue box that allows you to select the required OS, so I
chose XP service pack2.

Then there are other options.

Then you browse and select the .exp file so I selected the Witango5.5 exp
installer and that was it.

You start the install process like normal.

SO each time you open Witango, VISTA will run it in an XP OS.

I did have to copy and paste the V:\Inetpub\Scripts\witango55_iis.dll as
that did not get installed.

I had more trouble with setting up IIS

It's been so long I had forgotten about setting the MIME TYPES

Then the HANDLERS are managed differently but eventually comes to the same
results, i.e. referencing the witango55_iis.dll.

I installed SQL developer's edition 2005 and service pack 2

I made a new database with the same name as the one on my current machine.

The ODBC connection was no problem.

The Witnago developer works fine.

IIS works fine.

Like I said I am getting a license error with Witango server?

I double checked all the ini files etc but can't find the prob. I don't
think this is a VISTA problem.

I really hate the name VISTA Ultimate.

The only reason I installed it was because I finally bought a new computer
and I decided to bite the bullet and go with VISTA now instead of having to
do it later.

I am not under any pressure because my current XP machine works fine.

It has some pretty annoying safety measures. Like I could not save the
license.ini file. I was getting a funny error that the file path did not
exist. Well I turned out it was a permission problem even though I was
logged on as ADMINSTRATOR and had full control of the file. I had to disable
an extra layer of "saftey" and now I have this little icon telling me my
computer in not secure.

I don't think everything is certified to run with Vista. Is there something
in VISTA you need or did your new computer just come that way?

I have not installed VISTA anywhere at this point since it seems to offer
nothing positive over XP.

Are others using VISTA for development machines?

Also I got a new computer and am installing Witango 5.5 in VISTA Ultimate.

SO far the Witango developer is working but I am getting a license error
when I try to hit the Witango server?

I have made myself install notes if anyone wants them.
