Thanks for the tips. I am sorry I wasn't clear. You are all right. The client has a windows 2003 server that runs IIS to host their website. You don't need IIS to run a mail server. So I hear that mailenable and Mercury/32 are two options, MDaemon by alt-n (www.altn.com) is another. Bill says: Consider a VM-Ware mail appliance.

I googled up some apps, but getting a recommendation makes a huge difference. Also, there is the license question.

So are there any additional licenses needed to run an email server on a Windows 2003 Server?
