Both dev studios, but especially the mac version, have gotten so long
in the tooth you have to approach it completely differently. You need
to build a system JUST for it. Your PowerPC system would probably be
best running panther than leopard, and tiger would be better than
leopard for compatibility.
Same on XP, I have found java stuff doesn't work right, unless you use
v 1.4 of java. So on your XP machine, you can't upgrade java.
The best solutions I have seen, is a cheap laptop running XP just for
dev studio, or VMWare on intel mac running a XP machine just for dev
studio. Dump the mac studio all together.

I have read some of the comments about running Witango and Leopard

My laptop is a motorola chip. If I install Leopard, it will all work
but there are a few files that are not in the right places for the
dev studio? Is that about right?
In otherwords, If I upgrade to Leopard, I can make server and dev
studio work and I can make and connect using JDBC to mysql right?
How about ODBC connections. Are there any differences there?
Thanks for the help.
