This is a bit off topic, but it relates to how I designed my Witango shopping cart app. I designed the app to allow many domains to use the same shopping cart and have a separate folder with domain specific information (css, templates, images, etc). This is all related to a user defined domain scope when the user enters the site.
All domains share the same root directory. One of the challenges is search engine site maps. Each site has a different site map and the problem is how to get the search engine to select the correct site map for the domain. I have found 2 possible solutions robots.txt Sitemap:http://www.mydomain1.com/myd1sitemap.xml Sitemap:http://www.mydomain2.com/myd2sitemap.xml ISAPI_Rewrite - http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrite/ <http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrite/> This seems to be an Apache .htaccess mod_rewrite compatible module for IIS And I use Windows IIS servers Can anyone provide me with results from experience with either solution (or a different one)?
