Perhaps as a community we should start our own open source code conversion tool for Tango/Witango to php, .net, etc.

I would have loved to have at least purchased the v6 studio for some of my old clients that are not worth porting to php, and one client that doesn't have the budget yet to port. I am actually debating porting some of those smaller clients/sites over to php at my own expense. It would be worth not having to continue to manage the old witango servers, and go through the crazy hoops to keep a 5.5 studio working. We have built a pretty big framework for porting over witango to php. I have thought about writing an app in RB to convert witango to php. It is definitely something I could do, but where is the market? In order to make my money back I would have to sell it for way too much money. The witango community has dwindled down to almost nothing. Even if witango v6 was released, at this point, I don't think it has any chance of survival. Even if Phil and Sophie just gave it to the community as open source, I don't think it could survive. And I mean REAL open source, not the open source they referred to previously with version 6. That is not open source. It is just a way to get somebody else to do their dev for free, yet they still make the money.
